Reminisce.
It took one crazy night,
To take the moon and turn out its light,
Will it shine again?
Well it just might...
I listened to that when I pushed the former lover out of my life. The moon is certainly shining again =)
I have gone back to the pre-historic ages [in other words, 8 years ago] when the mate and I started our 911-downloading spree a week ago. The fact that I used to listen to them like crazy when I was 9 and now I'm downloading their songs when I'm now 19 [I'm so old] is so strange.
I regarded them as the best boyband ever. I was 9 ok? I am to be forgiven for that.
Sure, when we were young, we were silly and carefree. We could sing any song from Spice Girls then, and people would think we're cute. Now, you try singing that, people would ask you "Are you insane?".
I don't care if people think I'm crazy for listening to old songs, but you know something? It brings back some nice memories.
The other day, we caught ourselves singing Stop by Spice Girls in the lecture hall filled with other people and Ms Winnee was asking us to do some SPSS thingy [and thank God for not letting her give us a quiz because of our karaoke session!]. I didn't care, because I enjoyed the company I was with. They make me happy.
To quote Gerard Way:
That is true. I could sing you every line of any 911 song [no wonder people say I have unnecessary info stuck in my brains], but it made me happy. You had to start somewhere-lah right? You could have started liking Boyzone or Britney Spears when you were young, but like I said, you had to start somewhere. And people would ask you "What's so great bout this band? So boring!". Let them say anything. One man's meat is another man's poison. Music has crazy ways with people.
This is for all music lovers and people who used to do crazy things when they were younger.
Somewhere inside you, you just wanna sing a Britney song. Just do it.
Currently listening to:
Lollipop - Mika.
I think this song is so cute. I heard this in college yesterday. So cute.
And for the record, I confess to singing to James Morrison's The Pieces Don't Fit Anymore in public. Not very loudly though. Yes, I'm so mushy.

To quote Gerard Way:
If for one minute you think you're better than a sixteen year old girl in a Green Day t-shirt, you are sorely mistaken. Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn't know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about.
